An Overview of International Cyber-Security Awareness Raising and Educational Initiatives (2011)
Singapore – Campaign 2 – Virtual Cyber-Security Park
In an effort to educate school children on good Cyber-Security, Singapore has opened a ‘Virtual Cyber-Security Park’. This was announced in March 2010 as part of the Infocomm Security Masterplan 2 (MP2). Students attending primary school in Singapore will have the opportunity to navigate the ‘Virtual Cyber-Security Park’ to learn good Cyber-Security in an engaging and enjoyable way.
This is a new initiative and more information may be released soon.

Methodology: |
Modelled after the Road Safety Community Park in the East Coast which welcomes groups of students for road – safety lessons in a scaled – down road network, the Virtual Cyber-Security Park will show today's increasingly wired children how their seemingly innocuous actions on the Web can come back to haunt them. The online park will use 3 – D technology to re-create scenarios young ones encounter while online, from creating social networking profiles to playing online games. |
