Ian Booth - BA LLB - Associate

Ian Booth specialises in the legal, privacy and authentication aspects of electronic commerce, having been a senior legal and policy manager with the National Office for the Information Economy from 1998 until mid-2002. Previously, Ian was regulatory affairs manager for the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Farmers Federation and the Metal Trades Industry Association. Since mid-2002, he has been an active e-commerce consultant. Areas on which Ian has advised include privacy legislation, the status and validity of electronic transactions, public key infrastructure and digital signatures and product liability law reform. Much of Ian's legislative analysis, review and development work has involved productive consultation with stakeholder industry, community and government organisations.
